Table of Contents

Type B – Fast-acting (Lighting Type)

type B

Commonly known as the lighting type.

Suitable for resistive loads such as lighting and sockets.

Fast tripping.

Trips at 3–5 × In (instantaneous trip threshold).

Type C – Motor Type (Medium-delay)

type C

Also known as the motor type.

Suitable for loads with moderate inrush current such as small motors and pumps.

Moderate delay compared to Type B.

Trips at 5–10 × In.

Type D – Slow-acting (Industrial Type)

type D

Known as the industrial / slow-acting type.

Used for high inrush current equipment such as transformers and large motors.

Trips at 10–20 × In.

Type K – Inductive Load Type

type K

Designed for inductive loads with higher starting current.

More sensitive to overload than Type D.

Trips at 8–12 × In.

Type Z – Ultra-fast, Highly Sensitive

type Z

Very sensitive and ultra-fast tripping.

Ideal for electronic circuits, PLC, automation, and control systems.

Trips at 2–3 × In.
